Edwin, I bought the 86-88 Clymer even though my bike is a 1997 model. Clymer has not put out an updated version. I suspect that it is because nothing has really changed since then except the addition of a 5th gear. I use the Clymer and have had no trouble. I doubt many of us will ever see the inside of our transmissions since it requires some technical knowhow and special tools. To sum up the Clymer will work fine for almost any maintenance job you want to tackle in your garage.
